01 Junior Research Fellow

 
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry
of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, training, and management. The WII wishes to engage 01 Junior Research Fellow for Project entitled“ Linking Protected Areas Networks and Near Real Time “Rain Bird” locations with IBIN” purely on contractual basis for a period of one year through written test and interview on 24thMay, 2018 at Wildlife Institute of India.

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/ Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany/ Forestry/Ecology/Environmental Sciences/Geo-informatics and post graduate diploma in RS & GIS with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university with one year experience. 

Desirable Qualification : Spatial analysis using Remote Sensing and GIS tools. Experience in mist netting, handling of birds and movement data analysis.

 Emoluments: 
Rs. 25,000+16% HRA

GIS Expert

Applications are invited for engagement of following personnel on a purely temporary basis for the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Centre on Wildlife & Protected Areas at the Wildlife Institute of India, an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India (GoI). The mandate and activities of the WII-ENVIS Centre are available at www.wiienvis.nic.in .The positions are for a period of one year but are likely to be extended further as per the requirements.

Last date of receipt of application is on 30 May, 2018 upto 1700 hrs.
Essential qualifications: 
PG Diploma in RS/GIS with atleast 1 years’ experience/Graduate with good knowledge of
computer technology (website development, designing, internet, publication, GIS/ RS
etc.) with two years’ working experience 
or 
Postgraduate degree in Science with 1 year experience in GIS/RS data analyses and report
writing.


Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of Information technology applications/GIS &remote sensing.
Work experience in geo-informatics related projects; and good scientific report writing skills.
Monthly emoluments :
Rs.20,000/- plus admissible allowances
